Segment 4 – Mike Ertel, Seminole County Supervisor of Elections
Michael Ertel, the Supervisor of Elections for Seminole County, FL, is an outstanding SOE that actually pro-actively cleans up their voter registration database. Take a listen to this interview to see how he takes the initiative to ensure a free and fair election in Seminole County, FL.
Mr. Ertel is a Seminole County resident, husband and father of 2. He graduated from Seminole County’s Lake Howell high (the community that he still calls home), graduated the University of Maryland and served 8 years in the US Army. He’s served as the Seminole County Supervisor of Elections for 7 years. In 2012 he testified before a United States Senate subcommittee about election law. He was recognized as an elections expert by the American Bar Association, the American Association of Political Consultants and the International Electoral Affairs Symposium. He was a 2011 recipient of the Campaigns and Elections magazine’s Innovator Award.
